Hanging Baskets: A Beautiful & Easy Sukkah Decor Idea
Children always light up when they see festive decorations draping the sukkah ceiling — dangling and fluttering in the breeze. We fondly remember how magical it felt to gaze around and see creative elements hanging overhead (not your everyday living room ceiling!). Those memories inspired us to create hanging basket decorations with the children in mind: fun, visual, and memorable.
In this post,we will walk you through two charming hanging basket ideas and how to build them yourself. Use them as focal pieces or accent decorations in any sukkah.

Birdcage
- Loop both ends of the string through the bottom of the basket and knot the two ends together for hanging.
- Glue the birds to the branches using a glue gun.
- Stick the branches through basket coming from the inside of the basket. Glue in place.
- Decorate with greenery and glue in place.
Flower Basket
- Loop both ends of the string through the bottom of the basket and knot the two ends together for hanging.
- Glue the greenery and flowers in place.
