We love styling tablescapes.
Stich N Sew, located in Lakewood, N.J. is a fabric store that literally has thousands of fabrics to choose from. With a full service work room, they offer custom decor from window treatments, upholstery, tablecloths etc. One of their main requests is for custom tablecloths. The owner, Mrs. Rivky Ungar, always tells us that styled tablescape photos sell her products. When a customer comes into the store and is undecided which tablecloth to pick and can see a set table, the product sells much faster.
For this job, we picked out all the fabrics for the shoot and collected props for each tablecloth (flowers, vases,dishes,cutlery….).
For this photoshoot they wanted to have a couple of dreamy photos for print ads. Setting a dreamy table, usually entails setting a fully set tables in the perfect setting (a wine closet behind the set Pesach table, outdoor shoot for a summer line…)
Because a fully set table is more costly to style, we recommended that we also style a bunch of cloths with only two settings. The photographs were all styled with the same composition. This allows the photographer to work quicker without constantly changing the lighting, position of the camera….. These photos are great for Instagram.
We also suggested that they put a photo frame at the counter with all the pictures. This helps customers visualize how the fabric will look as a tablecloth.
