Cake & Cookie Dessert Table for a Simcha

A cake and cookie table is always a beautiful addition to a simcha, and it was the perfect sweet finish to our coordinated food-station setup. We chose a delicious assortment of cakes and cookies from some of our favorite vendors to create a display that was as beautiful as it was tempting!
We created three separate but matching displays: this Cake & Cookie Table, a Tea Bar, and a Snack Mix Bar for the Family First Simcha Issue.
Using the same tweed tablecloth, coordinating colors, and personalized details throughout allowed each station to have its own look while still feeling like part of one cohesive sweet table.
Custom Cakes, Cookies & Macarons from The Tart Shop
When you want desserts that coordinate perfectly with a theme, The Tart Shop does an incredible job of customizing the smallest details. Their creations don’t just look beautiful—they’re always fresh, tasty, and genuinely delicious.
We featured their Macaron Tower, Madeleine Tower, initial cookies, and cookie chocolate sticks.Â
Beautiful Desserts from Kayx Patisserie
Kayx Patisserie brings a fresh twist to classic favorites. Their desserts are always beautiful, delicious, and created with incredible attention to detail.
For this table, we featured their new cinnamon-flavored Gold Bomb Cake, along with an assortment of cookies in different shapes and flavors, Petite Citrus and Chocolate Tartlets, and their new Chocolate Log Cake.
Combining different shapes, sizes, and heights gave the table plenty of visual interest while offering guests a delicious variety of desserts to choose from.
An Easy Trick for Displaying Cookies
Instead of laying all of the cookies flat on trays, we wanted some of them to stand upright so the designs could really be seen.
Our solution? Makeup organizers designed for eyeshadow palettes!
The individual slots were just the right size for displaying the cookies vertically. It’s an inexpensive and easy way to add height to a dessert table while allowing each cookie to become part of the display.
For the name cookies, we used mini easels.
Creating a Coordinated Dessert Display
Just like our other stations, we used a tweed tablecloth from Stitch N Sew. We love that you can choose any fabric in the store and have it made into a custom tablecloth to fit your exact table size.
BoxSweetz recreated the tweed fabric design on coordinating personalized pieces, helping us carry the same pattern and look throughout the different stations.
Repeating these elements is what allowed us to create three distinct food displays without making the room feel busy or disconnected.
See the Complete Sweet Table Setup
This Cake & Cookie Table was just one part of our larger sweet-table setup.
Head over to our DIY Snack Mix Bar to see how we created an interactive station filled with popcorn, nuts, Smudds, and other sweet and savory treats.
Then visit our Cozy Tea Station to see the matching tea display with flavored teas, personalized tea biscuits, tea bag cookies, fruit galettes, and all the little extras that made it feel warm and inviting.
Each station works beautifully on its own, but together, the Cake & Cookie Table, Snack Mix Bar, and Tea Bar created one coordinated setup with something special for every guest.
More Creative Food Stations
Food stations are one of our favorite ways to add that extra oomph to a party or simcha. Whether you’re creating a dessert bar, snack station, tea station, or something completely different, giving each category its own designated space can make even a large selection feel organized and polished.
