A Cozy Tea Station
There’s something about a tea station that instantly feels warm and inviting. It encourages guests to pour themselves a cup, sit, shmooze, and simply enjoy each other’s company. It’s especially perfect for a winter Friday night, when everyone can linger after the meal over a warm cup of tea and something sweet.
For this setup, we combined a variety of flavored teas with beautiful treats and simple accompaniments. You can make your tea station as elaborate—or as simple—as you’d like.
This Tea Station was actually one part of a larger coordinated sweet table we created for a simcha. Instead of putting everything on one table, we divided the treats into three separate stations: this cozy Tea Station, an interactive Snack Mix Bar, and a beautiful Cake & Cookie Dessert Table. Each station had its own personality, while the matching tweed tablecloths and coordinating details tied the entire setup together.
A Variety of Flavored Teas

For our tea station, we used a selection of flavored teas from Bella Sabatina. Choose several flavors for guests to sample, or stick with just a few favorites.
Artisan brewed in small batches, Bella Sabatina Premium Tea Essence offers a rich, flavorful tea to enjoy during the week and savor on Shabbos. Its full-bodied warmth and inviting aroma make it a natural choice for a cozy tea station.
Bella Sabatina also supplied the sugar cubes, honey sticks, and rock candy for our display.
The Little Extras
Sometimes it’s the smallest details that make a setup feel special. Along with the tea, we added honey sticks, rock candy, sugar cubes, and dried fruit.
For another pretty way to incorporate dried fruit, try our Dried Fruit Tea Stirrers. They can be prepared a few days in advance and look beautiful displayed alongside the teacups Make our Dried Fruit Tea Stirrers.
The containers we used for the dried fruit and tea biscuits were simple Dollar Tree finds. You don’t need expensive serving pieces to create a beautiful display.
Finishing Touches
To tie the entire tea station together, we used a beautiful tweed tablecloth from Stitch N’ Sew. BoxSweetz carried the tweed theme through to the smaller details, recreating the tablecloth’s design on the personalized napkins and coordinating them with the cups. These custom touches gave the entire setup a polished, cohesive look.
Personalized Tea Biscuits
Cookies & Crème personalized tea biscuits for us, turning a simple tea biscuit into something sweet and charming.
Personalized treats are such an easy way to add a special touch to a tea station, whether you’re setting it up for Shabbos or a special occasion.
Tea Bag Cookies
The Tart Shop created these lovely initial tea bag cookies. Each one was covered with a unique textured fondant design, making them both a beautiful part of the display and a perfect fit for the tea theme.
Fruit Galettes
Fruit galettes are a perfect addition to a tea station. They have a relaxed, rustic look while still feeling special enough for entertaining.
For this setup, we chose three of our favorite Kayx galettes—apple, strawberry, and plum. The different flavors offer guests a little variety while adding color and rustic elegance to the table.
The plates underneath the galettes were from Dollar Tree, and the glass covers were from Target.
Setting Up the Urn
An urn makes it easy for everyone to help themselves to hot water throughout the evening. If you don’t own one, you can usually rent one from your caterer.
If children will be around, be extremely cautious with the urn. Make sure it is placed securely and well out of their reach.
Make It Your Own
There really are no rules when it comes to creating a tea station. Start with the teas you love, add a few sweet treats and pretty extras, and use serving pieces you already have.
Whether you’re creating one for a winter Friday night, Sheva Brachos, Sukkos, or simply when you’re having guests, a tea station creates a cozy little spot where everyone naturally wants to gather, shmooze, and linger just a little longer.
More Creative Food Stations
Food stations are one of our favorite ways to add that extra oomph to a party or simcha. Whether you’re creating a dessert bar, snack station, tea station, or something completely different, giving each category its own designated space can make even a large selection feel organized and polished.
