How to Make Edible Perler Beads
1. Cut the Twizzlers
Cut the Rainbow Twizzlers into approximately ¼-inch pieces. These become your edible “beads.”
2. Choose a Design
Draw your own picture on paper, or print one of our Edible Perler Bead Patterns.
3. Cover with Parchment Paper
Place a sheet of parchment paper over your design. The pattern will show through the parchment, making it easy to follow.
Tip: For younger children, tape the paper and parchment to the table so they don’t slide around while working.
4. Build Your Picture
Arrange the Twizzler pieces on top of the parchment paper, matching the colors to your design.
5. Fuse the Pieces
Carefully place another sheet of parchment paper over the finished design.
Using a hot, dry iron, gently press over the parchment paper for several seconds until the candy pieces soften and fuse together.
Adult supervision is required for this step.
6. Cool & Enjoy
Allow your design to cool completely before peeling it off the parchment paper.
Now it’s ready to admire… and eat!
Â
Tips for Success
- Keep the Twizzler pieces close to the same size for the best results.
- Work on a flat surface.
- Let the design cool completely before moving it.
