Why We Love Candles on the Table

We love setting a table with lots of candles—and there’s no better time than Chanukah for that. Candles instantly add warmth, light, and a festive glow, creating a cozy and inviting atmosphere for your guests.

Safety First

Safety is always our number-one priority. Consider the ages of your party attendees when placing candles, and position them strategically. For setups with food bars, as in this party, there’s less passing of dishes, which makes it easier to have candles on the table safely. You can also light the candles at the beginning of the party and blow them out if needed.

Creative Candle Display

For an extra touch, we filled square vases with kosher salt and inserted candles of various heights. Not only does the salt provide stability, but it also adds visual interest and sparkle.

Tip: After the party, save the salt for the next snowstorm to avoid waste—it works perfectly as a de-icer!

Adding Floral Touches

Devoiry of Daphne’s Petals created just the right amount of flowers, adding beauty without overcrowding the table. This is a great reminder that sometimes less truly is more when it comes to table styling.

Mini Vases and Tea Light Holders

The mini vases were purchased at the Dollar Tree, keeping the look budget-friendly yet charming. We paired them with black wire tea light holders from At Home, which doubled as stands for the vases, creating varying heights and a layered, elegant display.
