Delicious, and simple to make, this Checkerboard Challah Board Mishloach Manos adds a new “twist ” to a challah, a classic mishloach manos food. Though this checkerboard challah can be paired with practically anything, we used a hard salami as the second item.
You will need:
- 5lbs challah doug
- caramel coloring
- cutting board (also available at discount stores)
- hard salami
- checkerboard challah (baked in a square pan)
- shrink wrap and a blow dryer
- ribbon

Directions:
- Divide the dough in half and add 2 Tbsp caramel coloring to one part. Mix well.
- Use a food scale to measure even balls of dough.
- Arrange the balls in a square pan and bake according to the recipe directions.
- Use the shrink wrap to package the challah and salami.
- Tie a ribbon around the package.
