Chanukah Hot Cocoa on a Stick
A Cozy, Interactive Treat for the Whole Family
Lieber’s reached out looking for creative, Chanukah-themed content—and we were excited to dive in! We combed through their product list to find items that could become adorable, festive treats. That’s how this Chanukah Hot Cocoa on a Stick came to life: fun to make, fun to gift, and even more fun to enjoy on a chilly Chanukah night.
Kids and adults love dipping, stirring, and watching the little chocolate “candle” melt into warm milk. It’s a sweet activity and a comforting drink all in one. Of course you can enjoy this Chocolate Menorah without turning it into hot cocoa.
You can create a full menorah or make individual candle sticks—both are irresistibly cute and delicious.
What You’ll Need
Lieber’s baking chocolate, melted
mini marshmallows
white chocolate wafer rolls
toothpicks
11 Lieber’s Chanukah coins
1 ounce plastic shot glasses
Directions
1. Prep the Marshmallows
Cut the marshmallows into small pieces and set aside.
2. Create the Candle Wick
Insert a toothpick into each white chocolate wafer roll, leaving about 1 inch of the toothpick exposed at the top.
3. Make the Chocolate Flame
Remove one side of the foil backing from a chocolate coin. Cut out a small flame shape from the chocolate.
Attach the flame to the exposed toothpick using melted chocolate and let it dry completely.
4. Assemble the Hot Cocoa Cup
Fill each 1″ plastic shot glass with melted chocolate.
Place the wafer-roll “candle” in the center and sprinkle the chopped marshmallows around it.
5. Set the Chocolate
When the candle begins to settle, transfer the cups to the refrigerator or freezer until fully firm.
How to Remove the Chocolate from the Cup
When ready to use:
Option 1: Hold the shot glass in your hands for about a minute to gently warm it until the chocolate releases easily from the plastic cup.
Option 2: Carefully snip a slit into the plastic cup and peel it away.
Create a Menorah Display
To turn these cocoa sticks into a charming menorah:
Place a chocolate coin (chocolate side down) under each candle. Use a total of three under the shamash.
This project is festive, interactive, and makes an adorable presentation—perfect for gifting, party favors, or enjoying with family around a warm mug of milk. Enjoy stirring up some Chanukah magic!
