A Chanukah-Perfect Mini Look-Alike Creation
A Tiny Twist on a Chanukah Classic

We love all things mini—especially when they come with a surprise. This adorable step-by-step latke-making setup looks perfectly real at first glance…but nothing is what it seems!
The “bag of potatoes”? Chocolate.
The “bowl of shredded potatoes”? A cupcake.
The “frying pan”? A mini pie crust.
It’s a whimsical, Chanukah-perfect illusion that captures the cozy feeling of latke making without a drop of oil. Cute, clever, and completely edible, these mini look-alikes make the perfect activity and conversation piece for a Chanukah dessert, kids’ table, or family night treat.
Mini Potato Sack

You Will Need:
-
4×6-inch (5×15-cm) bags
-
cinnamon cocoa dusted almonds (we used Klein’s-available in candy stores and supermarkets)

twist ties
Directions:
-
Fill each bag with cinnamon chocolate almonds.

Print and cut the labels.
-
Wrap a label around each bag and secure with tape.

Tie the top closed with a twist tie.
This becomes the “bag of potatoes”—adorably tiny and perfectly convincing.
Bowl of Grated Potatoes

-
kataifi (shredded phyllo dough)
