Modern Greenery Sukkah Décor
We love Sukkos décor that gets the creative juices flowing and inspires us to think outside the box. We also appreciate the ease of a beautiful prepared kit from time to time—but this project is definitely for those who enjoy getting creative!
Who knew ordinary pool noodles could be transformed into such stylish Sukkah décor?
By cutting black pool noodles into different lengths, attaching them to a base and filling the openings with faux greenery, you can create a modern, dimensional display that adds greenery and texture to your Sukkah.

Customize Your Sukkah Display
One of the best parts of this project is how customizable it is. Make it as small or as large as you’d like, depending on where you plan to hang it.
Get creative with the size, pool noodle color, arrangement and fillers. Use different heights and varieties of greenery to give the finished piece a loose, natural look. You can also use cardboard tubes instead of pool noodles for a similar effect.
It’s simple, inexpensive (if you shop at Dollar Tree) and a creative way to add lots of greenery, texture and modern style to your Sukkah.
You Will Need
Black pool noodles—we purchased ours at Dollar Tree; they are also available on Amazon
One 5¼” × 12″ piece of thin wood or corrugated cardboard—you can cut a piece from a sturdy box
Low-temperature hot-glue gun
Strong double-sided tape, optional
Assorted faux greenery—we purchased ours at Dollar Tree and Hobby Lobby. Below is a link to greenery you can purchase on Amazon. Honestly, it is probably easier to see what you are getting by going down to see the greenery and how it flows.

Directions
Prepare the Base
Attach a hook securely to the back of the wood or cardboard base for hanging.
Cut the Pool Noodles
Using a sharp knife, carefully cut the pool noodles into the following pieces:
Four 8″ pieces
Three 10″ pieces
Six 4″ pieces
Attach the Longer Pieces
Glue the 8″ and 10″ pieces to the base, varying the heights to create an interesting arrangement.
Be sure to use a low-temperature hot-glue gun, as high heat may melt the pool noodles.
Add Dimension
Glue the smaller 4″ pieces on top of and between the longer pieces to add depth and dimension. You can use low-temperature hot glue or strong double-sided tape.
Arrange the Greenery
Insert faux greenery into the open ends of the tubes. Vary the types and heights of the stems to create a full, loose and natural-looking arrangement.
Get Creative
Make this project in any size or color combination you’d like. Try different varieties of greenery or other lightweight fillers to coordinate with the colors and style of your Sukkah. Cardboard tubes can also be used in place of the pool noodles.
