For a show-stopping Chanukah dessert, we transformed a long tart into this gorgeous and delicious Menorah Art Tart.
We used our sugar cookie recipe for the crust and the candles.
The rich, fudgy filling is from Susie Fishbein’s Chocolate Lover’s Truffle Brownies recipe (Kosher by Design), with just half of her recipe being the perfect amount for this tart.
This dessert is not only delicious but also a centerpiece worthy of any Chanukah celebration.
You will need:
- sugar cookie recipe
- recipe for Chocolate Lover’s Truffle Brownies (Kosher by Design)
- 14.1×4.7-inch (35.8×11.9-cm) tart pan
- orange lentils
Directions:
- For the candles, roll out some cookie dough between two pieces of parchment paper and place it on a cookie sheet in the freezer.
- Use a sharp knife to cut the candles. Cut eight candles ½” x 2 and for the shamash ½ x 3”. Bake the cookies. Keep in mind that they are quite small so be careful not to overbake them.
- Follow directions for Chocolate Lovers Brownies. We used the sugar cookie dough for the crust.
- Allow the glaze to set partially and then place the cookies on the tart.
- For the flame, cut the lentils in half using a sharp knife. Press the flat side of the lentil into the chocolate.
