This sugar cookie recipe is always our go to sugar cookie recipe. The dough isĀ very easy to use and the cookies always come out perfect.

Best Sugar Cookies
Ingredients
- 1.5 sticks margarine
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 1 egg
- 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
- 2 1/4 cups flour
- toppings (optional)
Instructions
- Place margarine, sugar, egg and vanilla extract in the bowl of an electric mixer.
- Add flour and mix till a soft dough forms.
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
- Roll out the dough on a lightly floured surface.
- Use cookie cutters to cut cookies out and place them on a parchment lined cookie sheet.
- Bake the cookies 12-15 minutes or until the edges start getting a golden color.
- Place the cookies on a cooling rack.
- Decorate the cookies (optional).
Notes
Cookie dough can be frozen for up to two month.
