Adorable Lulav & Esrog Cookies for Sukkos

Looking for a fun and festive treat that’s both adorable and effortless? These Lulav and Esrog Cookies are the perfect activity to bring a sukkah themed treat to your Sukkos table — no baking required!

We used everyone’s favorite store-bought chocolate swirl cookies (yes, the nostalgic kind with  icing in the center!) as the base. The yellow icing gives the perfect pop of color to represent the esrog. All that’s left is to craft a sweet little lulav from green fondant, and you’ve got a charming edible version of the iconic mitzvah.

These treats are:

  • Crowd-pleasing

  • Mess-free

  • Totally on-theme for Succos

What You’ll Need

  • Chocolate swirl cookies with yellow icing

  • Green fondant

  • Icing (optional, for sticking)

That’s It!

In just minutes, you’ll have the cutest lulav and esrog cookies — perfect for a dessert tray, kids’ craft activity, or a sweet gift for neighbors and guests.

These cookies capture the spirit of Succos in the most delightful way — no oven required!

Directions

  1. Roll out the green fondant on a clean surface.

  2. Shape it into a lulav — long and narrow, with little detail if you’d like (you can keep it simple or get fancy).

  3. Attach the lulav to the cookie, placing it next to the yellow “esrog” center. Use a dab of icing to secure it if needed.
