These adorable apple shaped challah rollls are  fun to bake and a great addition to your Rosh Hashanah table too.

You will need :

Directions:

  1. Divide the dough and roll them into balls. To make them even, weigh the dough on a food scale. They should weigh approximately 100 grams.
  2. Using a pastry brush, brush challah rolls with egg.
  3. Stick the pretzel in the center of each ball.
  4. Bake
  5. Remove from pans and cool on a cooling rack
  6. Stick the leaf into the challah

Tip- Using just the egg yolk with a little sugar mixed in will make the challah shinier.

  1. We make these EVERY SINGLE YEAR since you shared this post! We buy the muffin trays in dollar tree (the ones that come with a handle to transport). And every year we try to share them with someone in Klal Yisroel who hasn’t yet tried these! (It’s getting harder and harder to find!)

    1. Wow, this truly makes us so happy! We love that it’s become a yearly tradition for you, and how thoughtful that you share them with others. There’s nothing like spreading a little joy (and delicious treats!)—thank you for keeping the tradition alive!
