Cane Place Setting

Add a rustic touch to your table decor with this simple place setting idea.

Cane webbing is a woven material that has been around for ages,  traditionally used on furniture.

Recently, I have seen it trending and is being  used as a design element in many other projects such as vases, wall décor and more.

Here’s a pretty way to add a rustic touch to your table décor with little effort.

You can use the idea to attach a menu card.

 You will need:

Directions:

  1. Cut a piece of cane to 4-inches x 8-inches.                                                    If you notice in the picture, the cane is slightly curled up. I only discovered after the photo shoot that placing the cane in hot water for 15 minutes will soften the material.
  2. Thread the flower and the ribbon through the holes of the cane, as shown.
  3. Place the cane on top of a folded napkin.
  4. Place ribbon behind the napkin.
