Picture Perfect Sandwiches
Here’s a cute meal that can serve as a fun culinary project plus lunch at the same time.
Not only will your children enjoy making and eating these, it will spark creativity and they might even come up with cute designs on their own.
Fun face sandwiches and Tuna roll are also adorable sandwiches to make.
“Ice Cream” Sandwich
You will need:
- mini ice cream cones
- cream cheese
- red food coloring (optional)
- sprinkles
- red pearl candy
Directions:
- Using a knife, carefully cut ice cream cone in half.
- Mix some cream cheese with food coloring and smear on the bread. (You can mix it with sprinkles instead if you prefer.)
- Place cones on bread.
- Add cream cheese for the “icecream”.
- Sprinkle on some sprinkles.
- Add the “cherry” on top.
“Cherry” Sandwich
You will need:
- bread and a spread
- cherry tomatoes
- scallions or chives
- leaves
Directions:
- Spread the bread with a spread.(This is a fun line!)
- Cut tomato in half and arrange on bread with the greenery as in picture.
“Watermelon” Sandwich
You will need:
- bread and a spread
- large cucumber
- plum tomato
- black sesame seeds
Directions:
- Spread the bread with a spread.
- Cut cucumbers and tomatoes in slices and then in halves.
- Place tomato over cucumber and then place it on spread. Add the “seeds”.
Please note:
When shopping for your vegetables, keep in mind the dimensions so that the sizes make sense.
