What You’ll Need
-
Carmit wafer rolls (covered in white chocolate)
-
white royal icing
-
dried mango or any type of orange candy
-
skewers
-
3×10-inch cellophane bags (optional)
-
ribbons
Step-by-Step Instructions
1. Create the Flame
Cut the dried mango (or orange candy) into the shape of a small flame.
2. Assemble the Candle Base
Insert the pointy side of the skewer gently through the bottom of the white-chocolate wafer. Push until the skewer is sticking out about one inch form the top of the wafer. Be careful not to crack the wafer; twist slightly as you push.
3. Add Wax Drips
Using the royal icing, pipe simple “wax drip” lines down the sides of the wafer roll.
Let the icing fall naturally — imperfect drips look the most realistic!
4. Allow to Dry
Lay the candle pops flat on a baking sheet and let them dry completely so they stay sturdy.
5. Add the Flame
Place the mango flame onto the top of the skewer.
If needed, use a small dab of melted chocolate to help secure it.
A ribbon tied below the wafer roll will also help keep everything in place.
6. Optional: Wrap & Present
For a polished look, wrap each candle pop in a cellophane bag and tie it closed with a ribbon. It keeps the pops fresh and makes them perfect for gifting or party favors.
