We love creating plating ideas that resonate with the yom tov. In the spirit of Rosh Hashanah, we created these Envelope Wraps to hold a personalized shana tova card. You can start your meal off with a salad and place this special envelope in the center of the plate.
You will need:
- wraps
- aluminum foil
- toothpicks
- cooking spray
- garlic powder
Â
Directions:
-  To make the envelope, cut a wrap into a square and fold it up like an envelope (leaving one side open).
- Â Fold a piece of foil into a small square and put in the center of the envelope to create height so you can fill the envelope.
- Stick toothpicks through the corners of the wrap and then through the silver foil, to hold in place. For extra flavor, spray wrap with cooking spray and garlic powder.
- Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Place envelopes on baking sheet and bake for 5-8 minutes, or until lightly browned.
- Remove the toothpicks from the envelope. Allow to cool and place a small car inside the envelope.
- Arrange on a large plate with salad all around. (The envelope can be broken up and used as croutons in the salad.)
