How to Edit Your First Day of School Sign in Canva
1. Open the Template
Click the link provided to open your First Day of School sign in Canva.
2. Select the Text
Click on the text you would like to personalize. A box will appear around the text.
3. Personalize Your Sign
Update the grade and school year to fit your child. Double-click the text box and type in your changes.
4. Adjust if Needed
If your text is longer, you may need to make the font slightly smaller so everything fits nicely within the design.
5. Download Your Sign
Once you’re happy with your changes, click Share in the top right corner, then Download. For the best printing quality, select PDF Print.
6. Print & Frame
Print your sign on 8.5″ x 11″ cardstock or heavyweight paper at home or at your local print shop. Pop it into a frame, and you’re ready for that first-day photo!
TIP: Before downloading, double-check the grade and school year—and make sure all of your text is centered and easy to read.
