Beautiful Flower Postcard Cookies
There are so many fun and creative cookie decorating ideas, and these flower postcard cookies just got added to the roster. Just like we did with our Edible Perler Beads, we used Twizzlers to create the floral details — which makes them both adorable and surprisingly easy to put together. These flower postcard cookies feel like pieces of edible art and are perfect for Shavuos or any time of year.
Sweet, detailed, and almost too pretty to eat, they bring together baking and creativity in the most beautiful way. Each cookie becomes its own little canvas, decorated with soft florals and thoughtful details that make them feel truly special.
Tiny Edible Masterpieces
One of the things we love most about these cookies is how artistic they feel.
Each one looks like a miniature floral postcard — elegant, whimsical, and completely unique.
Creativity Over Perfection
The beauty of these cookies is that they don’t need to be perfect. In fact, the handmade details are what make them feel so charming and special.
You can keep the designs soft and simple or layer on more intricate floral details depending on your style.
A Beautiful Creative Project
These cookies are also such a fun way to slow down and create something beautiful. Whether you make them yourself or decorate them with kids or friends, the process feels calming, creative, and inspiring.
Sometimes the best projects are the ones that let you simply enjoy making something pretty.
You will need:
- sugar cookie dough or graham crackers
- large cookie cutter
- white and green fondant
- Twizzlers – cut into small beads using kitchen shears
Directions:
-
- Roll out the cookie dough and cut using the cookie cutter.
- Bake according to recipe directions. Allow to cool.
- Roll out the fondant. It should be thin, but you should be able to lift it easily.
- Using the same cookie cutter, cut out the fondant. If you are using graham crackers, use one to trace the fondant and then cut with a knife.
- Stick the fondant to the cookie with a drop of water.
- Use the twizzler beads and green fondant to design your cookies.
- Use a drop of water, icing or karo syrup as “glue” to stick decoration to the cookie.Allow to dry.
