Two Is Better Than One: A Purim Table in Living Color
With so many fun colored dishes and stemware to choose from—both real and plastic—sometimes it’s just too hard to decide.
So why choose one?
What better time than Purim to pick two colors and celebrate abundance, creativity, and a little extra flair?
Inspired, Not Copied
Recently, an acquaintance asked us if people copy our ideas exactly as shown in the photos. Our answer was simple—and heartfelt.
What gives us the most joy isn’t seeing something copied down to the last detail, but seeing how people adapt our ideas to fit their own style, budget, and time constraints.
That’s the magic.
Making the Idea Your Own
In a setup like this, inspiration can land differently for everyone:
-
For one person, it might mean buying two different-colored plastic tablecloths and paper goods
-
For another, it might be the way the carnations are bunched together in a vase
-
Someone else might treat herself to a new, fun set of stemware
-
And for many, this is simply what we lovingly call eye candy
There’s no wrong takeaway—only the one that works for you.
Starting Point: Dishes & Stemware
We always suggest starting with the dishes and colored stemware (plastic works beautifully too). Once those are chosen, everything else tends to fall into place.
For this table, we chose dishes and stemware from Godinger’s new Sheer collection. The stemware comes in several colors, making it perfect for mixing and matching.
The cutlery is also from Godinger, tying the whole look together seamlessly.
Our Color Choice
We went with fuchsia and blue—bold, festive, and perfect for Purim. That said, this concept works with any color combination you love. Think teal and gold, lavender and green, black and white…the possibilities are endless.
