Honey is such an iconic part of Rosh Hashanah, and this year we wanted to take that theme beyond the traditional honey dish.
The star of this Rosh Hashanah tablescape is a DIY beehive-inspired table runner made from gold mirrored hexagons. Arranged down the center of the table, the individual hexagons come together to create a beautiful honeycomb effect that feels festive, elegant, and just a little unexpected.
It’s a simple idea that makes a big impact—and gives the entire table its Rosh Hashanah look.
A DIY Gold Mirror Honeycomb Table Runner
We arranged gold mirror hexagon wall stickers down the center of the table to mimic the look of a beehive.
The reflective gold catches the light beautifully and instantly dresses up the table. We love that the runner feels special for Rosh Hashanah without being overly themed, so the overall table still feels sophisticated and elegant.
Best of all, the individual mirrors can be arranged to fit the length and width of almost any table.
Incorporating the Rosh Hashanah Simanim
We used the mirrored runner for more than decoration. Small ramekins filled with the Rosh Hashanah simanim were placed directly on the gold hexagons, turning the center of the table into a beautiful and functional part of the Yom Tov meal.
The simanim add color and texture to the gold runner while keeping everything easily accessible when it’s time to enjoy them.
It’s such a pretty way to incorporate this meaningful Rosh Hashanah tradition right into the tablescape.
The Sweetest Little Bee Detail
Sometimes it’s the smallest detail that brings an entire table together.
We added charming bee spoons alongside the simanim for a subtle nod to the honey and beehive theme. They’re whimsical without taking away from the elegance of the table.
