Looking to add a creative touch to your table without going over the top? These paper vases are such a fun, artsy way to display your flowers—and the best part? They’re easy to make and endlessly customizable!
Keep It Simple or Match Your Theme
We chose to keep our paper wraps simple and modern for a clean, fresh look. But you can easily tailor this idea to match any aesthetic—coordinate with your tablecloth or dishes! Whether you’re using bold florals, soft pastels, or a bright color scheme, just pick a paper that fits your vibe and wrap it around any basic vase or container.
Stylish, Affordable & Effortlessly Chic
This is one of those hacks that looks high-end but is actually super budget-friendly. It’s a great way to repurpose jars or plain vases you already have, and the effect is seriously eye-catching. Plus, it’s a great project to do with kids or prep ahead as part of your tablescape.
Perfect for Shavuos, Bas Mitzvahs, Bridal Showers, or Birthday Brunches
These paper vases add that extra “something” to your tablescape—ideal for Shavuos with its floral vibes, or any special celebration.
Match the Look
Check out our coordinating Paper Vase Seating Cards to complete the full look.
Turn this into an easy tablescape by using any solid color tablecloth with black and white dishes for a super chic look. Use the same color flowers in the vases.
You will need:
- 2 paper vases per glass vase
- vase
- double sided tape
- flowers
Directions:
- Print the Printable Vase or creat your own.
Note:
The vases we used were 3.5” x 7” from Dollar Tree.
If you are creating your own vase design, here is how to figure out the dimensions:
For the width:
Measure the circumference of the vase with a tape measure.
Divide that measurement in half and add 1.5”-2” extra to the width so you have room to connect the front and back vase.
The length can be the length of the vase or a couple inches higher.
- Cut out the vases.
- Place double sided tape on the blank side of the widest part of one paper vase.
- Positioning the front and the back of the the paper vases on either side of the glass vase, secure the 2 paper vases together by pressing the double sided tape.
- Carefully fill the vases with water and flowers.

Adorable for a fun and casual party! Plan to use this idea for my daughter’s Bas Mitzvah in July. Thanks for the great ideas!
Perfect idea!
Thank you Esther for this!
We used this fantastic idea when bringing flowers over to my elderly grandparents. I knew it would be overwhelming for them to have to cut the stems and find a vase, and I didn’t have a spare. This was the perfect touch. I trimmed the stems, placed the flowers in a “soup container” and decorated with a paper vase.
It was so appreciated!
Thank you so much for sharing this —we absolutely love how thoughtfully you adapted the idea! 💕
Using a soup container as a vase is so clever, and I’m sure your grandparents appreciated both the flowers and the care behind them. Sometimes the simplest touches end up being the most meaningful. 🌸
