Bonfire Carrot Cake

bonfire carrot cake

Here's a beautiful and delicious dessert to make for your family and friends in honor of Lag Ba'omer.

Because Lag Ba'omer is traditionally celebrated with bon fires, I chose to share this bonfire cake with you today.

Colorful carrots are not only gorgeous in a salad  but can also be used to make a dazzling enhancement on top of carrot cake, resembling a fire.

You can make your own carrot cake or buy one ready  made. This carrot cake is from Schuck's Fine Pastires. All I did was add the carrot ribbons.

You will need:

Directions:

  1. Using the peeler, make your carrot ribbons.
  2. Place them in a container of ice water till curled, at least a half hour
  3. Dry the carrot ribbons and place them on the cake.
