Tu B’Shvat Fingerprint Tree Craft: Fill the Branches with Color
Tu B’Shvat is the perfect time to celebrate trees, growth, and creativity—and this fingerprint tree craft does exactly that. It’s simple and so fun for little hands. Even better? It’s a free Tu B’Shvat printable, making it easy to prep and share.
This idea is inspired by our classic Fingerprint Family Tree , reimagined with a Tu B’Shvat twist.
What You’ll Need
washable stamp pads (try green, pink, purple—or any colors you love!)
A few thin Sharpie markers for details
stickers (optional)
Baby wipes or a damp cloth for easy cleanup
How to Do It
Start with your bare tree—those empty branches are just waiting to come to life. Dip a finger into a stamp pad and gently press it onto the branches to create “leaves.” That’s it! Each fingerprint becomes a leaf, fruit, or blossom, depending on the color you choose.
Try All the Colors
One of the best parts of this craft is experimenting:
Green for classic leaves
Pink & purple for blossoms
Mix and match colors to represent different seasons, family members, or even different types of trees
There’s no right or wrong—every tree turns out unique, just like the children creating them.
Why We Love This Craft
Hands-on & sensory: Kids love stamping with their fingers
Meaningful: A beautiful way to connect Tu B’Shvat to creativity and growth
Keepsake-worthy: These trees look amazing framed or hung up as seasonal decor
If you prefer you can also decorate the tree with mini leaf or fruit stickers.
