Having a hard time deciding how to decorate your cheesecake?
A Riot of Toppings is for you!
Try a variety for an exciting looking toppings to decorate your cheesecake this Shavuos.
You will need:
- cheese cake baked in a spring form pan
- assortment of topping such as: cookie crunch, pie filling, sandwich cookies, whip cream, nut crunch, chocolate shavings, honey glazed pecans, kiwi slices, sugar discs (directions below)….
- 12- 6” pieces of parchment paper, folded in half
Directions:
- Bake cheesecake and freeze till firm.
- Remove cheesecake from the freezer. Using a sharp knife, cut into 12 even slices.
- Place a piece of parchment in between each slice (optional).
- Decide how many different toppings you would like to use. Decorate the slices, alternating the flavors.
Sugar Discs
Directions:
- Melt ¼ cup sugar in a small pot over medium heat until it turns a caramel color.
- Use a spoon to form desired shapes on a parchment lined cookie sheet. Allow to harden before lifting.
