The Gourmet Frozen Dessert Everyone Is About to Be Obsessed With
If you haven’t tried Smudds yet, we’ll definitely wet your appetite by telling you about them. Smudds reimagines muddy buddies with a chewy caramel, melt-in-your-mouth texture—an irresistible upgrade to the classic snack you grew up with and still love. Sweet, chewy, crunchy, and completely addictive, they’re the kind of treat both kids and adults can’t stop reaching for.
And honestly? Once we started creating desserts with them, we couldn’t stop.
Our Smudds Ice Cream Dessert Creation
We were so excited to collaborate with Smudds to create this mouthwatering gourmet frozen dessert using Smudds, and the results tasted like something you’d order at a high-end café or trendy ice cream shop. Think rich swirls of caramel and chocolate, creamy layers, fluffy whipped topping, and those chewy bites of Smudds tucked into every spoonful.
It’s indulgent, fun, and surprisingly easy to make.
The best part? There’s no right or wrong way to create it.
Mix, Match & Make It Your Own
This dessert is completely customizable, which makes it perfect for entertaining, birthdays, Shabbos desserts, summer parties, or just because.
You can:
- Add more caramel or chocolate drizzle
- Mix in cookies, brownies, or candy
- Keep it simple or fully loaded
- Use dairy ice cream or make it completely parve
- Layer it into one large container or individual dessert cups
Every version feels special.
We especially love serving them in small individual containers because they instantly look elevated and café-inspired.
Dairy or Parve? Both Work Beautifully
One of our favorite things about this recipe is how versatile it is. You can easily make it a dairy dessert with your favorite premium ice cream and whipped cream, or keep it parve for a delicious parve dessert everyone can enjoy after a meat meal.
Either way, the Smudds add that signature chewy caramel texture that makes the dessert unforgettable.
A Dessert That Looks Cafe’-Worthy
These frozen Smudds desserts have that polished, gourmet look that feels straight out of a luxury dessert shop. The soft swirls, glossy drizzles, and layers of texture make them almost too pretty to eat.
Almost.
Serve them frozen for an ice cream-style treat or slightly softened for a creamy layered dessert experience.
Where to Find Smudds
Smudds are available in kosher supermarkets, including Gourmet Glatt and other specialty kosher grocery stores.
Once you try them, you’ll understand why everyone is obsessed.
And once you turn them into dessert? Even better.
