Martini glasses are a great way to make any dish look gourmet and special, from fruit cups to sorbet or ice cream.

From Shabbos meals to Yom Tov meals, many people serve lots of gefilte fish. Why not change it up a bit by serving gefilte fish balls in a martini glass?

There are lots of different style martini glasses available in glass and plastic.

You will need:

Directions:

  1. Using your Spiralizer, spiralize carrots and cucumbers. (You can buy spiralized vegetables if available.)
  2. Place strips in martini glass and place fish on top.
  3. Place cooked carrot slices on top of fish.

Gefilte Fish Balls

You will need:

  • home made gefilte fish batter or a frozen loaf of store bought fish, defrosted
  • large carrots-sliced

Directions:

  1. Place fish batter in the bowl of your electric mixer.
  2. Beat on high for 15 minutes (this will make the mixture firm).
  3. Refrigerate batter overnight.
  4. Prepare the pot for cooking the way you normally cook your fish. (water, onion, carrot sugar, salt, pepper…)
  5. Roll fish into balls or oval shape (I used a small scoop to keep balls even) and place into the boiling water.Do not overcrowd the pot.
  6. Cook fish for 1 hour on medium flame. Allow to cool.
  7. Place fish in refrigerator.
