Label Them! – A Fun, Interactive Party Game for Kids
Add some movement, laughter, and a little discovery to your next party with Label Them!
This party game is a favorite of ours—especially for large gatherings—because it’s easy, energetic, and encourages everyone to mingle. Kids can play at their own pace, the directions are minimal, and the entire game sparks natural interaction and conversation. It keeps the room buzzing with excitement while helping children learn more about each other.
Why Kids Love Label Them!
-
Simple to understand — perfect for a mixed-age group
-
Encourages movement around the room
-
Builds connection as children notice fun qualities in their cousins or friends
-
Self-paced — no pressure, no strict timing
-
Adds instant fun to any party environment
Why It Works for Parties
Label Them! works beautifully for birthdays, Chanukah gatherings, cousin parties, classrooms, and camp-style events. The game naturally gets kids moving, noticing each other, and having fun without needing constant direction. It’s structured enough to feel like an activity but relaxed enough to keep the atmosphere light and enjoyable.
What You’ll Need
-
One sheet of labels for each player
-
Each label should have a fun description or a compliment (“Loves to dance,” “Reads lots of books,” “Has a great smile,” etc.)
-
-
Small prizes (optional)
How to Play
1. Give Each Player a Label Sheet
Hand out a sheet of pre-printed labels to every child. Each label includes a description that could apply to more than one person.
2. Explain the Goal
Players walk around the room and choose someone who matches each description. They peel off the label and place it on that person.
3. Keep Going Until All Labels Are Given Out
Everyone moves at their own pace, talking, laughing, and deciding who fits each label best.
4. Optional: Collect a Prize
When a child has given out all their labels, they can return to the host table to receive a small prize. This adds an exciting finish but is not required.
