Grilled Mini Peppers on Skewers

My guests were arriving and I still had not decided on a hot vegetable to be served with the main. Obviously, I did not have much time on my hands. Upon openening  the fridge, I spotted a bag of mini peppers I had just purchased from Costco. I put three peppers on a skewer, sprayed them with Pam, spiced them, then placed them on the grill. Ten minutes later (5 minutes each side) I had a most magnificent vegetable to serve.

Sefer Torah Franks 'n Blanks

I have been making this kids favorite “Torah Treat” for many years in honor of Shavuot. No matter  how exquisite the other dishes on the table, this has always been a Shavuot (and Simchat Torah of course) highlight for my children. Aside from delicious, they're simple enough for children of all ages to  make (yes… my seven year old daughter made the ones you see!).

7 Layer Matzah Cake (Gebrokts)

This Pesach treat has been a family tradition for at least three generations. Coming from a German/Ashkenaz background, this has always been our favorite Gebrokts dessert. (Actually, my sisters who married "non-brokters" always ask that we save them a piece for after Passover!)  Matzah soaked in wine, layered with luscious, creamy chocolate.... this simple recipe is bound to become your family favorite as well.

Passover Two Tone Speckled Meringues

Here is another one of the recipes I created last year, for Mishpacha -Family First Magazine. These meringues are mouthwatering. Their attractive design will add an additional flair to these ever popular Passover treats.

Passover Raspberry Pecan Bars

One of my favorite chometz cookie bar recipes is Chocolate Raspberry Bars.Last year, I converted this recipe into a Passover recipe for Mishpacha Magazine-Family First. It was a big hit!! If your one of those who like chocolate jelly rings, then this one is for you.  It’s quick and easy, and it’s bound to be a dessert favorite or a tasty snack to enjoy throughout Passover.

"I Can't Believe It's Not-Chometz" Chocolate Cake

After the photo shoot for Mishpacha Magazine (where this article originally appeared)  I had this cake, and a Chometz cake on my kitchen counter, and…. The chometz cake didn’t stand a chance! This cake is seriously delicious! It is tasty enough to be served "plain" or it can be enhanced with a confectionary sugar design or a delectable frosting(see recipe below).I have a friend who is a fabulous baker. She told me that after she made this recipe for the first time, she threw  out all her Pesach brownie and chocolate cake recipes.
